Which stream to choose in Class 11
1. Science:
There are further two options under science category named as Non Medical and Medical.
Non Medical:
Student who opts Non Medical has to study Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics along with English and one more subject depending upon the Board opted by the student. Non medical should only be opted by those students who are basically good at mathematics.
Student not having good command or interest for mathematics should not opt for Non Medical. Moreover Non Medical needs a lot of labour by students as far as study hours are concerned.
CBSE provides a list of subjects which can be opted by a student in class XI and XII. Computer Science and IP are considered good for Non medical students as they are helpful if student wants to join engineering or computer field after class XII.
After completing XII with non medical, student can go for engineering further followed by engineering related jobs in private as well as government sector. Moreover students can also join defence Services after cracking NDA exam. They can also join Hotel Management.
Student can also opt for BSc in Physics, Chemistry/Computer Science, Mathematics followed by MSc in any of the above subjects or related subjects. After doing Msc student can join research or join a job in the industry related to his subject.
Medical:
Student who opts Medical has to study Physics, Chemistry and Biology along with English and one more subject. Medical should only be opted by those students who are basically good at Science or want to join medical line after class XII. CBSE provides a list of subjects which can be opted by a student in class XI and XII. Biotechnology is a good subject as an additional subject
Student who opts Medical can join MBBS, BDS, BAMS, Nursing, pharmacy and related courses. Bsc(Medical) followed by MSc in Medical can take student towards teaching as well as research. After completing his qualification, student can join a job in the industry related to his subject.

2. Commerce:
Commerce stream basically deals with business. Student who opts Commerce has to study Accounts, Business Studies and Economics along with English and one more subject depending upon the Board . Commerce students can opt Computer Science or IP as an additional subject in XI. Commerce should be opted by those students who have interest in financial calculations along with basic understanding of Mathematics.
After completing XII with Commerce, student can go for BCom , BBA with subjects which they like. Commerce students can join CA, CS or courses in financial markets with good job market.

3. Humanities:
This stream is the widest of all. It covers subjects like History, Computer Science. Geography, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, languages, Anthropology, Human Resources, journalism etc.
After completing XII with Humanities, student can go for B.A, Law and other courses along with preparation for competitive exams.Student who opts Humanities can study subjects of his choice depending upon his career vision. If a student wants to go for civil services, he can opt History, Geography and Political science along with English and one more subject depending upon the Board . Humanities students can also opt Computer Science or IP as well as Mathematics as an additional subject in XI and make career in the respective fields.
